Job Overview:  WNYT-TV NewsChannel 13/WNYA My4 Albany is participating in the New York State Broadcasters Association Internship program for 2024. Candidates will be chosen to complete a Spring/Summer/Fall internship, up to 180 hours, in which they will be exposed to the full array of career opportunities available in the TV Broadcast industry.

Job Responsibilities:
This opportunity provides interns with the chance to witness and experience first-hand the operational procedures of a television station. After being exposed to the various departments in the station, the intern will have the opportunity to work with their manager to chose an area of interest for more in-depth training. These areas include: News (Producer, Photographer, Editor, Reporter) Engineering (Master Control Operations, IT Operations) Creative Services (Commercial Production) Production (Directing, Studio Operations) Sales (Account Executive)

Qualification:
Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
Current undergraduate student, at least 17 years of age
Resident of New York State and/or attending a college in New York State
Interested in a possible career in the broadcast industry
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Pay rate: $15.00/hour

Compensation and Benefits:  When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.
