NABET-CWA/ABC-Disney Negotiations

Los Angeles, CA

BULLETIN #29

April 27, 2012

NABET-CWA and ABC, Inc. negotiators met, as scheduled, for two days of meetings on Thursday April 26th and Friday April 27th.

Through a series of on-the-record and off-the-record meetings, the parties grappled with one of the most pivotal issues in this process; ENG/EFP digital camera usage. Despite a number of creative solutions offered by the Union, this matter remains unresolved. The Company continues to propose the removal of “primary workforce” language in Sideletter DN. Union negotiators told the Company that further invasions into our traditional work without tangible, measurable replacement work created an unacceptable imbalance.

Additional open issues were discussed, addressed and settled. The parties have agreed to keep the lines of communication open and will explore future dates for a resumption of talks. We will keep you posted with the latest information and developments.

The Union Bargaining Committee reminds members to ignore all rumors. All official negotiation and mobilization information will be delivered on the Sector website (www.nabetcwa.org), on Local websites, hotlines, and e-mail lists.
