The NABET-CWA Network Negotiating Committee and ABC-Disney representatives have concluded scheduled meetings in New York City. These meetings were held on December 17 and 18, 2012, and were conducted under the auspices of Regional Director Jack Sweeney and Commissioner Timothy Germany from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).
During these sessions, the Union and the Company discussed Sideletter DN and meals/overtime eligibility in the presence of the federal mediators. While no agreement was reached, Regional Director Sweeney concluded these meetings by stating that he would remain in contact with both parties in an effort to further the process.
As ABC continues its vindictive implementation of certain contract proposals, members are reminded to keep precise records of all overtime scheduled, cancelled, or worked, all “late-notify” schedule changes, work-day extensions, OTEs, meal periods and any circumstance for which you did not receive overtime because paid sick time was a factor. In addition, report to your Local union office any verbal or written interpretations of the implemented proposals made to you by management.
The Union Bargaining Committee reminds members to ignore all rumors. All official negotiation and mobilization information will be delivered on the Sector website (www.nabetcwa.org), on Local websites, hotlines, and e-mail lists.
