A Pension Plan information session via Zoom will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 7 pm. This virtual meeting will be relevant to members who are currently full-time staff employees of ABC or former full-time staff employees who have not yet commenced pension payments.
Local 16 is hosting the virtual meeting in order to provide information concerning the ABC-NABET-CWA Retirement Trust (the pension plan applicable to full-time staff employees who started employment with ABC prior to January 1, 2012).  Steve Van Duyne, the Plan Administrator and Local 16 member Gene Maxwell, a Plan Trustee will provide general information about the Plan and the benefits available.  The Zoom session will cover important topics including the Plan structure, funding, how Participant benefits are determined and calculated, and the "types" of benefits available.  The timing of when to commence benefit payments and the type of benefit chosen is a very important and individual decision for each Participant.  The information session will last approximately 90 minutes and will offer participants an opportunity to ask general questions of the moderators.
