A tentative agreement has been reached with ABC-Disney on a new contract to replace the Master Agreement which was set to expire on March 31, 2021.

NABET-CWA Negotiates Historic $76 Million Back Pay Settlement with CNN

NABET-CWA have negotiated one of the largest back pay settlements in the 84-year history of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Gil Maestas announced as Region 6 RVP

Gil Maestas, President, Local 52-Denver, CO, has been appointed Interim Vice President for NABET-CWA Region Six, effective December 12, 2018. Maestas’ appointment comes in the wake of the unexpected and tragic passing of former Region Six Vice President Bill Wachenschwanz.

CBS Buyouts and good-byes

As most of you have heard, CBS offered a buyout pkg for their employees if their age + years of service = 80 or higher. At KCNC-TV Denver, 11 people total took the buyout offer. 7 of those employees are Bargaining Unit Members. I'm happy to report that CBS is replacing those positions and creating new ones!

Stan Stiffler has been with the company for 39 years. He's survived the loss of video tape, audio operations, original TD job functions and, most recently, MCR Operations. Stan has been a long  time member of NABET Local 52 as well as a LEB Member. He will be missed. 

NABET-CWA/NBCU MASTER AGREEMENT: WAGE INCREASE AND RATIFICATION BONUS

Three percent (3%) wage increase and ratification bonus for eligible represented members working under the terms of the NABET-CWA/NBCU Master Agreement.
