NBCU 2022 Master Agreement Negotiations – Bulletin #8

The Union's Network Negotiating Committee (NNC) met this week with Labor Relations representatives of NBCUniversal at the Union’s offices in New York City.

The parties engaged in frank discussions regarding all unresolved issues in these negotiations, including overall wage increases, short turnaround, vacations, benefits for daily hire employees, as well as new work opportunities on digital and streaming platforms.

The Union continues to pursue important enhancements in daily hire terms and conditions (Sideletter 32).  In addition to proposed increases in the daily benefit payment, your negotiating committee is also seeking an improved structure for paid sick leave.  Additionally, the Union is seeking increased Company contributions to the daily hire 401k Plan (CWA SRT).

The parties continue to discuss overseas assignments (Sideletter 10), Opportunity to Eat (OTE) payments, job classifications and scale increases, as well as the overall length of the successor Master Agreement.

The current Master Agreement is in full force and effect, with no exceptions, pursuant to a negotiated extension agreement between NABET-CWA and NBCUniversal.

The Union and the Company are exploring dates to resume negotiations in the coming weeks, and we will update you when more information is available.

Please continue to monitor Sector and Local Union websites and be alert for official updates relating to these negotiations.
