Never Forget - September 11, 2001 – Twenty Years Later

This weekend, our great nation pauses to reflect solemnly on the events surrounding the shocking attacks that senselessly took the lives of thousands of people on September 11, 2001.

On that day, three NABET-CWA members lost their lives as a result of those unthinkable terrorist attacks.  In total, our Union along with CWA and AFA-CWA lost thirty-two sisters and brothers in airplanes and on the ground at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, PA.

In the twenty years since 9/11, many more first responders, public sector workers, NABET-CWA news crews, telecom workers and healthcare  personnel have suffered long-term illnesses, or have died, as a result of exposure to the toxic dust clouds generated during the shockingly violent destruction of that day.

Please take some time over this weekend to stop, to reflect, and to offer a prayer for the victims, their families, and all Americans so horribly impacted by these events.

Together, let’s pray for and remember:

William Steckman – NABET-CWA Local 51011

Donald DiFranco – NABET-CWA Local 51016

Thomas Pecorelli – NABET-CWA Local 59053

May God bless them, and their loved ones.

We shall never forget!
